This was a special session for me. I’ve been part of an amazing online group of moms from all over the US and beyond since I was pregnant with my youngest, 18 years ago. I’ve met several of these moms in person over the years. I was going to be in Chicago for a day and I mentioned this to the moms group since we have a few moms in Illinois and asked if anyone would want to do a senior photo session while I was there. The timing worked for Melissa and her daughter, Sarah, and I was so thrilled to be able to meet them in person and do a mini session right in downtown Chicago for them! So much fun! Here’s a sneak peek from this unique session location near the Shedd Aquarium!
Lauren is part of a family I have worked with many times and I just adore them. She picked a beautiful spot for her senior session, the lovely Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners. If you love floral backgrounds as well as some water features and some other interesting permanent backdrop options, this is a great choice. We were dealing with a possible threat of rain that day (which we were fortunate to avoid) but I brought along an umbrella just in case and we ended up incorporating it into some of Lauren’s photos with fun results! Lauren is such a polite, hard-working and motivated young lady with a beautiful smile. We had a great time doing her session! (Click any image for a full-size slideshow.)
Noah and I had a great senior session! He has a passion for theater and performing and it was fun to do some shots at the Malt House Theater in Burlington where he has had some great experiences. When we did his session, Noah was about to depart for an intensive theater summer camp and his enthusiasm was contagious. Here’s a sampling of some of the photos from Noah’s session. In early June, Kylee was my first high school senior session for the Class of 2020 and she definitely showed up ready for a great session! I get so energized during the high school senior season. These young people are so excited about their senior year and their plans for the future, which suddenly doesn’t feel so far away anymore! I love capturing that energy and their unique personalities during our session. This is just a sampling of the over 40 images Kylee will receive from her session. Thank you, Kylee! I hope you have a fantastic senior year! (Click any image for a full-size slideshow)
